The Position Overview

As theVisual Inventory Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the presentation and inventory management for our San Francisco store at Neiman Marcus, Union Square. You will report into the Store Manager.

General:

  • Implements and executes floor sets with Director of VM quarterly

  • Executes all updates and floor set ups to reflect new receipts and seasonally appropriate styles and color across all product categories

  • Actively maintains store appearance; keeping merchandise fully stocked and organized while ensuring that the store itself is clean and well presented

  • Maintain up to date knowledge of online product as well as current store stock availability on the sales floor and backroom

  • Conduct daily inspections of sales floor to insure all standards are in place

  • Create enthusiasm for visuals presentations by inspiring and supporting peers

  • Communicates with store team around all merchandise related initiatives

  • Ensure staff is adhering to company policies & procedures

  • Drive KPI’s including conversion, average dollar sales, customer satisfaction scores and overall volume by constantly monitoring and maximizing business opportunities.

Inventory:

  • Manages the presentation and selection for inventory based on seasonality, customer request and brand strategies

  • Supports Visual Inventory Lead to manage the in-store inventory in terms of capacity, newness, customer requests, sizing and floor presentation thru the Inventory Lead process.

  • Utilizes and analyzes key reports to support inventory related business decisions

  • Inspect inbound garments for any imperfections (wrinkles, creases, broken zipper, etc.), tag items correctly in our inventory management system (WMS) and send back to the warehouse following proper procedures

Position Requirements:

  • A minimum of 1 year retail visual merchandising experience

  • Flexible schedule and ability to commit to a minimum of 25+ hours per week including nights and weekends

  • Business acumen - written and verbal

  • Must be customer focused

  • Strong computer and presentation skills - with a focus on Mac products

  • Priority Setting

  • Ability to motivate others

  • Consistent track record of success in a similar position
