The Cardiac Cath Registered Nurse possesses the knowledge and clinical skills to assist the Cathing Physicians with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, on patient’s ranging from post-adolescence to geriatric on the age continuum. He/she works in collaboration with the Cath Lab technologist to assure positive patient outcomes. He/she is responsible to the Manager of Cath Lab./Cardiology. A minimum of three years recent experience as a staff nurse in an acute care hospital, one of which is a year of recent experience in cardiac cath lab with demonstrated knowledge of hemodynamic monitoring. Electrophysiology experience is vastly preferred.
A valid California Registered Nurse license. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification, ACLS required.
Possess the knowledge of both diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac catheterization procedures and techniques, which includes equipment, accessories, surgical procedures, sterile technique, patient assessment, hemodynamic monitoring and nursing intervention.

Minimum of 3-5 years combined experience in healthcare industry Cath Lab experience is vastly preferred. Complete annual safety training. Complete and maintain department specific training. Possess the knowledge of both diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac catheterization procedures and techniques, which includes equipment, accessories, surgical procedures, sterile technique, patient assessment and nursing intervention. Full command both verbal and written, of the English language. The physical dexterity and perceptive acuity (i.e., visual, and hearing) to satisfactorily perform all required duties. A valid California Registered Nurse license. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification, ACLS required.
