Position Overview Join the Cloud Security Team at Autodesk as a Senior Cloud Security Engineer and be a part of the talented team that designs, builds and deploys solutions that protect Autodesk and its customers against advanced adversaries.

You will research the latest threats & methods for mitigating them by deploying capabilities in the Cloud environment. Your mission will be to ensure that Autodesk and customer data remains secure. You will work across many teams including infrastructure, engineering, operations and product development. You will work across multiple workstreams including application and infrastructure security, and incident response.


  • As a Senior Cloud Security Engineer, you will fundamentally change the way security is built-in within the cloud

  • Provide security guidance and perform architectural review for infrastructure delivery with both physical data centers and AWS environments

  • Perform penetration testing, security assessments, red teaming, forensics, reverse engineering, malware analysis and other security testing as required

  • Design and build security solutions, frameworks, automation and orchestration to secure Cloud Infrastructure and Applications

  • Deliver security tools and automation while working in many different areas ranging from infrastructure, architecture, engineering, operations, incident response, and red teaming

  • Design and develop standards, frameworks and solutions to secure CI/CD pipeline

  • Evaluate security technologies for cloud environments in order to implement controls in the most streamlined and integrated manner

  • Create innovative solutions to complex security problems and use ML, AI as needed

  • Develop, automate and maintain hardened images for the software in the Cloud

  • Develop cloud security automation framework to plug-in various security tools into existing ones to delivery key security capabilities

  • Build and maintain PKI, Key Management solution for Cloud environment

  • Deploy and maintain WAF for cloud applications

  • Implement and manage SIEM for cloud security team, integrate SIEM with cloud security automation framework

  • Work with application and infrastructure teams to design and architect infrastructure (network, OS, databases) and applications to protect against attackers

  • Develop tools to automate security testing and enable efficient discovery and resolution of operations security problems

  • Gather threat intelligence and build, optimize, and automate systems to consume threat feeds and track adversaries

  • Actively participate in threat hunting using manual and automated tools

  • Respond to and, when appropriate, resolve or escalate security incidents

  • Stay current on security industry trends

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's degree (M.S.) in computer science or related field, or Bachelor's degree (B.A.) and equivalent work experience

  • 3 years experience in the field of security in at least three of the following areas: application security, security engineering, incident handling, malware analysis and reverse engineering

  • 3 years experience in infrastructure and application pen testing, red teaming, physical penetration testing and security code reviews

  • In-depth knowledge of AWS and other public and private cloud infrastructure is required (including EC2, VPC, ELB, S3, and IAM)

  • Experience with building and operating secure infrastructures

  • In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP networking (OSI stack, TCP, etc.)

  • Experience with Java, Python, Perl and Ruby for automation

  • Experience in Unix/Linux system administration

  • Strong understanding of security technologies including host and network-based protection and detection technologies

  • Knowledge and experience with network, host and application security practices

  • Experience with Firewalls, IDS/IPS and other network security technologies
