Kforce Senior Quality Assurance Analyst in San Francisco, California

Kforce has a client seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Analyst in San Francisco, California (CA).Essential Functions:

  • Develops and implements quality assurance standards, processes, and procedures based upon the SDLC methodology

  • Designs, implements, executes and debugs information technology test cases and scripts

  • Evaluates production readiness of project delivery by validating and documenting the completion of testing and development

  • Review requirements documents, system concept documents and functional and technical design documents

  • Work with the development management team and project managers on resource and schedule issues

  • Customize, communicate and enforce QA best practices across all SDLC phases

  • Coordinate and manage testing effort between 3rd party vendors, internal IT teams and Business Units

  • Hold walkthroughs for Test Plans and Test Scripts with the IT team, 3rd party vendors and business partners

  • Communicate testing expectations to project managers and project team members

  • Maintain and monitor defect tracking tool (Tracker), overseeing identification and problem/defect resolution

  • Create a Test Summary at the end of the project and present to the project team

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 7 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Working knowledge of the Web technologies (Unix, Windows). Experience within 3-tier architecture environment

  • Prior QA experience for the Business Area to be tested, primarily Healthcare related

  • Strong technical skills, including SQL query and the use of any specific toolset applicable for the project

  • Prior experience leading a QA team on a strategic project

  • Strong project management skills to effectively manage QA resources and timeline

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to capture key information from written text and summarize without losing content

  • Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve problems and ability to effectively apply a broad range of professional concepts, practices and methods in very complex and diverse circumstances

  • Comprehensive knowledge of software testing techniques and methodologies

  • Strong working knowledge of Quality Center
