The Programmatic and Social marketing team is responsible for marketing the company’s products, initiatives, and services to customers through digital marketing. Its approach is to embrace the strength of its marketplace and pace of innovation to drive marketing programs that are as entrepreneurial, data-driven, and innovative as the company itself. The team owns a variety of areas including search engine marketing & optimization, affiliate marketing, partnership relations, display advertising, real-time bidding, mobile, social, and data analytics. The North America Programmatic Marketing team owns the areas of programmatic advertising, paid social media, real-time bidding and programmatic buying, and display/social innovation strategy. The team is divided between Programmatic and Social buying platforms and Strategic Campaigns.


The Programmatic Solutions Marketing Lead will oversee advertising technology solutions to drive revenue for StubHub. Solutions will consist of remarketing, re-engagement and prospecting programs that incorporate that combine advertising and marketing technologies in the US and Canada with global expansion in the near future. This individual will oversee a large number of concurrent campaigns, managing creative asset delivery, timely launches, effective delivery, media buying, ad agency/tech management, and post-campaign reporting. This includes managing all interactions between respective internal teams and the respective agencies and publishers.


  • Ideate, plan and execute comprehensive and aligned mobile and desktop/mobile marketing strategies & media plans through cooperation with external agencies/technologies, internal marketing channel operators, and other partners.

  • Relentlessly focus on driving revenue for StubHub from digital marketing solutions.

  • Ensure alignment of display and programmatic campaigns to brand goals and values.

  • Be a thought leader in programmatic media buying advertising technologies.

  • Innovate around new creative formats, technologies, tracking, and media formats.

  • Successfully execute complex integrated consumer marketing campaigns ensuring on time campaign launches, budget pacing, and goal achievement.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate should be a highly motivated self-starter with a demonstrated strong academic and professional performance. The position requires someone who is analytical, organized, and detail-oriented with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment. In addition, the ideal candidate works well with outside partners and has internet industry experience.

  • 8+ years of professional experience in consumer marketing; ideal candidate will have at least 4+ years in digital programmatic display and/or mobile marketing.

  • Knowledge of the online advertising industry, ad network capabilities, publisher landscape, RTB, industry trends, and technologies.

  • Having worked at a Demand Side Platform is a plus.

  • Proven success in Programmatic Display advertising.

  • Proven career path in developing advertising technology solutions.

  • Experienced in managing programmatic campaigns and optimizing towards business goals.

  • Experience working with internal, cross functional teams in a matrix organization.

  • Positive, can-do attitude; must be experienced at effective communication and fostering teamwork.

  • Entrepreneurial spirit / ability to try different things with minimal direction.

  • Bachelor degree (or equivalent) required. MBA or other advanced degree preferred.

  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills in English required; French or Spanish a plus.


The Programmatic Solutions Lead will be based in San Francisco, CA and report directly to the Director, Programmatic and Social.
