The LinkedIn Legal & Public Policy team is made up of legal and policy professionals with diverse backgrounds and skill sets who have set an extremely high bar for providing legal and policy solutions. If you like smart, witty and motivated people, you will fit in well with the Team.
We are looking for a highly motivated team player to support LinkedIn’s Cyber Threat Intelligence & Investigations team, as well as product and engineering teams, on their use of personal data and other legal compliance. You will partner with stakeholders across the company, including Trust & Safety, Policy, and Information Security, to provide guidance and drive smart, legally compliant, and Members First solutions.
Partner with and provide legal guidance to LinkedIn’s world class Trust & Safety team as they proactively identify and assess threats to our platform and members.
Develop and implement effective policies for investigations, including effective protections on use and sharing of personal data.
Document and communicate results of investigations to relevant stakeholders.
Provide legal counsel on relevant product and feature developments.
Collaborate and build relationships with industry peers and nonprofits.
Stay current on policy issues and legal developments relating to ISPs and social media platforms.
Attend ongoing industry working groups and trainings on relevant subject areas.
Play an active role in fulfilling LinkedIn's mission of connecting the world's professionals to make them more productive and successful by being an integral member of our fast-paced, well-rounded, collaborative and FUN Legal & Public Policy team.
Basic Qualifications :
2+ years of relevant experience, with experience related to the relevant statutory framework including the following: the Stored Communications Act, Wiretap Act, Pen Register/Trap and Trace Statute, and analogous international laws.
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience working at a technology company or working with technology clients.
Litigation experience a plus.
Foreign language skills a plus.
Security Clearance a plus.
