Position Title Assistant Resident Engineer

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Assistant Resident Engineer for immediate employment on the Central Subway Program in downtown San Francisco. The program, which is one of the largest construction projects in the San Francisco Bay Area, extends the Muni Metro light rail system 1.7 miles, mostly underground, from Mission Bay through SoMa and Union Square to Chinatown, including new stations at 4th and Brannan, Moscone Center, Union Square, and Chinatown.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:
Support the Resident Engineer (RE) for the Chinatown Station
Resolve conflicts in the field
Determine the contractor’s entitlement to additional cost or time
Develop rough order of magnitude (ROM) cost estimates for changes in the work
Assist the RE with negotiating change orders
Report non-conforming work to the Resident Engineer
Assist the RE with managing the start-up, commissioning and handover of the Work, including maintaining records of the project milestones
Bachelor's Degree in engineering
5+ years' professional experience in related work
Excellent contract administration skills
Good written and verbal communication
Experience with MEP construction
High level of critical thinking skills
High level of numerical skills
Must have ability to utilize computer technology to access data, maintain records, generate reports etc.
Valid Driver License
- California licensed Professional Engineer preferred
