Wyndham Vacation Ownership is currently seeking an Accounting Clerk for our Donatello Resort in San Francisco, CA

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for reconciling daily revenues to post and generate Income Journals and Daily Revenue Reports. Balancing and reconciling all cash and credit card deposits and transmittals daily. Monitor guest ledger, advance deposit ledger and any other related ledgers to ensure proper internal control.

  • Billing and Collecting Accounts Receivables – All accounts on the A/R must be invoiced on a monthly basis with follow ups for non-payment. The goal is to maintain all accounts in an Under 90 day status.

  • Ensure the accurate and timely processing of accounts payables in order to maintain the financial integrity of the property. This includes processing payments, ensuring invoices are coded correctly, and new vendors are set up timely. Handle all vendor inquiries and reconcile vendor statements.

  • Maintain change bank, including daily balancing daily. Prepare Cash Over/Short reports on a daily, monthly, and yearly basis and maintain accurate records.

  • Audit cashier banks as required by hotel standards. Maintain all documentation in accordance with company SOPs.

  • Monitor, prepare, and communicate monthly financial reports as required in accordance with Wyndham’s required due dates.

  • Respond to customer inquiries in a timely fashion and communicate all issues and/or disputes to the appropriate supervisor(s).Assist with variances and investigating to explain.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent; college degree a plus.

  • Certificate in Accounting preferred.

  • 2-3 years accounting experience.

  • Excellent computer skills including Word, Excel or other spreadsheet software.

  • Experience with Peoplesoft a plus.

  • Ability to work with and communicate to fellow team members, resort staff at all levels as well as corporate executive staff.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required.

  • Able to work independently and unsupervised as well as with others in a team environment.
