The Oracle Cloud

Infrastructure Product Marketing team is looking to hire a Senior Manager of

Product Marketing to help build and execute on our messaging, positioning,

collateral, and go to market efforts relative to Oracle IaaS. This role

requires product expertise, business and marketing savviness, and close

collaboration with stakeholders across marketing, product development and field

sales teams.

Key Responsibilitiesinclude:

  • Strategiccontent:

  • Define and conveyproduct positioning, messaging and differentiators both internally and to themarket.

  • Create core IaaS contentacross all MarCom channels (web, blogs, PR/AR, events) as well as thoughtleadership vehicles.

  • Support successfulproduct releases based on corporate priorities.

  • Salesenablement:

  • Create the sales enablement planand develop the associated sales tools to align with the buying processincluding:

  • Sales training and customerfacing presentations, battle cards, elevator pitches, call scripts andadditional sales and demand gen collateral. Partner with sales organization toincorporate ongoing feedback into content and process and modify enablementefforts accordingly.

  • Competitive:

  • As the IaaS compete lead,your key responsibilities will include:

  • Constantly monitoringmarket trends and the competitive landscape

  • Analyzing competitors’ strategy,including a deep understanding of competitors’ product portfolios downto feature level expertise

  • Defining, creating and integratingcompete content into sales enablement and GTM efforts

  • Website:

  • Champion website contentand partner with digital and product teams to implement

Key Qualifications:

  • Deepknowledge of the public cloud market as a whole, specific knowledge ofcompeting public cloud offers (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP), and Oracle’s Cloudofferings.

  • Hands-onexperience with cloud technology and experience or desire to learn and godeep into our competitors’ products and services.

  • Desireto become an IaaS subject matter expertise (if not one already)

  • Theability to work across teams (engineering, marketing, sales and services)to ensure we create and promote the right messages through the rightvehicles

  • Self-starterwith a natural bias for action and delivering results

  • Successin leading cross-functional projects within matrixed organizations.

  • Abilityto communicate technical information in a simplified and concise mannerfor various audiences, plus the ability to convey technical information totechnical audiences.

The candidate should also have:

  • Bachelordegree with 6 years in technical product management and/or product marketingroles in cloud, hosting and/or enterprise software: 2 years in cloud or cloudecosystem preferred

  • BA/BSin Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Marketing or related field

  • MBA(or equivalent in related work experience)

Travel Component: Minimal.

Approx. 0% - 15% travel within US and Canada may be

required to successfully fill this role.

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Development and implementation of business plans, marketing strategy, and forecasts for a product/service or vertical market.

As a product analyst you will participate in every stage of the product life cycle to ensure product meets the needs of users. Drive the implementation of programs in support of the marketing strategy, business plans, and forecasts for assigned product lines. Maintains current status of customer specifications for existing and future products. Identify, evaluate, and recommend marketing opportunities in support of product line objectives. Drive product functionality delivering high quality product documentation. Lead products through scheduled release assisting others to manage commitments and resources. Measure and report progress and review deliverables.

Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Demonstrated product/project management experience. Ability to work with Executives. Strong interpersonal skills. Excellent written and verbal communication. Demonstrated product/project management experience. Creative, energetic, and enthusiastic. Team player. Experience using or implementing Oracle, SAP, or Peoplesoft applications. Basic HTML and web technology skills a plus. 8 years technology/industry experience and BA/BS/MBA degree.
