Kforce Technical Support Specialist in Palo Alto, California

Kforce is immediately adding an IT Technical Support Specialist to our staff for an exciting full-time opportunity in Palo Alto, California (CA). The Technical Support Specialist will provide on-going technical support depth to our existing team and also work on NexGen technology product demos and support as well.Job Description:

  • Provides tier 3 level technical support to internal teams across the business to include management, marketing teams, Go to Market teams, and external Beta users (influencers) for our SW solution on custom devices

  • Answer phone calls, emails, chats with Beta users

  • Post and maintains FAQs pertinent to application troubleshooting and Beta user support on Wiki, SharePoint, Developer support site

  • Act as support POC to dedicated Help Desk for our new device and its applications

  • Can work with Go to Market support teams and Help Desk support; can train the trainer

  • Can perform basic device setup, functionality check, troubleshoot HW / SW system

  • Work with and provide feedback to HW/SW Configuration Management Engineer RE: installation / troubleshooting instructions (when necessary)

  • Can work with Developer, QA, Technical writer, Build Engineer as needed

  • 3-5 years' experience providing tier 2 or 3 level technical support for Consumer Electronics devices and associated applications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication - can adjust communication style and method to different audiences especially non-technical audience

  • Strong Windows PC hardware and software (Windows 8) technical support experience required

  • Understand basic electronics (power, connectivity, etc.)

  • Willing to learn and be able to work under pressure

  • Detailed oriented, has no problem creating / maintaining FAQs on Wiki, Blog or Web posting

  • Proactive and well-organized individual a plus
