The Facebook Connectivity team works with mobile operators to bring more people online both by making mobile data affordable and attractive and by innovating hardware and software solutions for industry which lower total cost of operating. Through our Telecom Infrastructure Project, programs such as Open Cellular and back-end system efforts (e.g. OSS/BSS, network monitoring and optimization, EPC innovation), our teams develop innovative technology which helps move the industry forward to connect the unconnected. You will be responsible for defining products and programs that are excellent for partners and change the landscape and economics for cellular deployment. You will help envision, build, deploy the next generation of products deployed in partnership with mobile operators and in so doing will be one the key people in bringing the next billion people online. We are looking for someone who is entrepreneurial, structured, and possesses a mix of strong product sense, business acumen, and subject matter expertise with cellular networks, preferably with one or more of access network operations, OSS/BSS systems, and cellular equipment (hardware).
This position is full-time, based at our Menlo Park headquarters and will require international travel. Engineering teams supporting these efforts are in Menlo Park, Southern California, and Tel Aviv, Israel.
Lead the ideation, technical development, and launch of innovative hardware and software products for end-to-end lifecycle of cellular network design, deployment, operation, and support, with a particular emphasis on rural connectivity
Establish shared vision across the company by building consensus on priorities leading to product execution
Drive the ideation, technical development, and launch of innovative products

Drive product development with a team of world-class engineers, designers, and data scientists
Integrate vendor and partner market studies, usability studies, research and market analysis into product requirements to enhance user satisfaction
Define and analyze metrics that inform the success of products
Understand Facebook’s strategic and competitive position and deliver products that are recognized best in the industry
Manage and grow a team of product managers while also expanding existing product work streams
Maximize efficiency and remove blockers in a constantly evolving environment where the process is fluid and creative solutions are the norm
10+ years of product management experience
5+ years experience as a people manager
Bachelors degree in a technical discipline (i.e., Computer Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) or equivalent technical work experience (e.g., software engineer, network engineer, etc.)
Communication and presentation experience
Organizational and analytical experience
Technical knowledge of LTE network architecture, OSS/BSS systems, and LTE signaling and data plane protocols, Evolved Packet Core (EPC) systems
Technical knowledge of OSI network model, TCP/IP, MPLS and access network technologies such as Wi-Fi and 2G/3G cellular
Experience developing network-focused platforms, management tools, or hardware products
MBA, other advanced degree, or experience founding and operating a company
Experience in network or operations at a mobile network operator or at an equipment or services supplier to mobile network operators
Fast-paced start-up environment experience
