JOB DESCRIPTION:Principal PS Consultants are responsible for providing technical expertise for Genesys solution implementations, customer discovery sessions, solution architecture and approach, technical documentation and knowledge transfer to the customer and to other Genesys project members. #LI-AC1RESPONSIBILITIES / JOB DUTIESIn this role the primary responsibilities include (but are not limited to):Responsible for establishing Single and Multi-site technical architecture, customer discovery sessions, integrating multiple dissimilar environments, and implementing new leading edge technology. Investigates complex technical issues and is expected to work with partnering personnel resolve complex issuesManage Genesys and client to project timelines ensuring dependencies are being met, and project will launch on scheduleProvide troubleshooting and resolution for complex implementation issues within the project plan and strategy; Ability to prioritize issues effectively and meet tight deadlines when requiredAbility to consult with new customer prospects in the sales process to provide technical direction for upcoming complex engagementsAbility to manage multiple projects of varying size and technical complexity; Ability to focus on the details without losing sight of the bigger pictureConsultants may be required to provide input to courseware on various Genesys products, and/or 3rd party applications, and provide training to other Genesys consultants as neededREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSBachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related fieldMinimum 8+ years technical, hands on experience with focus on various digital technologies and solutionsPrevious experience with Genesys Routing (IRD/URS) and Genesys Composer/ORS a definite assetExperience with Java/JavaScript, Eclipse SDK and XML (SCXML/VXML) a definite assetFamiliar with TDM to IP gateways (Cisco, Audiocodes, Paraxip, etc.)Familiar with Network Load Balancing platforms (NLB, F5)Understand requirements specific to deploying IP telephony across both Cloud, LANs and WANsSpecialist in a minimum of 3 Genesys products (i.e. Framework, Composer, ORS, SIP, Outbound, GVP, etc.)Ability to do Knowledge transfer with both internal staff and customersCollege degree in Engineering or equivalent work experienceExcellent written and verbal skills in EnglishIDEAL CANDIDATE SHOULD HAVE:Software design and development experience preferably in the fields of web and/or TCP/IP network applications programming (experience of using sockets and multithreading in any programming language will be considered a strong benefit)Be familiar with modern web application technologies, such as HTML5/ECMA Script, Ajax, Comet-D, Websockets, REST and classic web servicesThe candidate should have an overall knowledge of use and configuration of basic network infrastructure components: TCP/IP routers, proxies, load balancersFamiliarity with Mobile Technology would be considered as a strong plus for the candidate (iOS or Android development experience)The candidate should be familiar with at least one NoSQL database, preferably CassandraThe candidate should have practical experience in working and tuning of at least one of the modern Relational Database Management Systems: MSSQL, Oracle, MySQL, etc.The knowledge in Telecommunications, VoIP, computer networks design and troubleshooting will be considered as a plus for the candidateThe knowledge of Genesys Products will be considered as a benefit for the candidate, but it is not a requirement for this positionSPECIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTSTravel up to 50%About Us:Genesys powers more than 25 billion of the worlds best customer experiences each year.
