Expeditors Air Export Operations Agent in Brisbane, California
*Scope of Position: *Maintains a heightened level of service to their customers and ensures efficient daily operations for all accounts while exhibiting Expeditors’ culture.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Air Export Clerk will conduct themselves in the highest standards and exemplify Expeditors’ culture.
It is expected that the Air Export Clerk will be driven by their attention to detail and their focus towards continual improvement
All daily functions will be completed within the guidelines set forth by Expeditors internal Operational Process Standards.
Assists others in their duties with all Air Export accounts
Able to provide customers with status on shipments by using ETMS, EXPO and destination CFIT systems.
Telephones answered with 3 rings (includes any phone or overhead ring)
Customer emails answered within 2 hours, voice mails within 1 hour and destination emails answered within 12 hours.
Able to audit documents for export compliance information and able to obtain missing information from customer.
Coordinate activities with the warehouse staff to ensure customer expectations are met.
Provide support with other miscellaneous projects throughout the branch.
A minimum of 52 hours of training to be completed annually (4.3 hours per month) along with required courses
Generates and maintains an active channel of communication between their customers and vendors.
Able to accept customer bookings and dispatch for pickup.
Able to setup file for processing including validating credit, obtaining complete documents, working with destination on necessary approvals.
100% of documents scanned into Edoc imaging system and indexed as per expectations
100% references inputted per client and Expeditors’ expectations
Destination, shipper and consignee information successfully entered into shipment
Onhands to be linked to AWB.
File to be turned over in a state for EEI to be processed
Assist Air Export Agents and Airline Specialists with the gathering and pouching of documents
Must understand destination specific documentation requirements
Gathers required documents and secured them (pouches) as per expectations
Able to file EEI, process HAWB, and invoice accurately.
Needs to be able to read client specific operating procedures and successfully execute upon them
Able to successfully utilize a routing guide and interpret foreign addresses
Assist Air Export Agents with providing updates and alerts to clients regarding their shipments
Experience and Education:
Fully proficient with various software applications (i.e. mainframe systems: MS Word, MS Excel, Microsoft SharePoint)
Typing - 30 wpm
10-key by touch
Displayed ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Utmost attention to detail
History of excellent attendance practices
Able to identify opportunities for improvement, suggest such opportunity to management and develop the procedure necessary to implement
Ability to multitask
Easily adapt to change
Functions efficiently in a high stress environment
Willing to do what it takes
Willing to work overtime when necessary
