Fisher Investments Technology Project Manager (2017-4654) in San Mateo, California

We are looking for a Technology Project Manager to drive our newly formed division into the future and to help us achieve our ambitious growth expectations. This individual will organize, plan and execute our myriad technology initiatives and will and help ensure the chosen solutions meet the needs of the business stakeholders and our leadership team. The size and scope of the projects will vary, but tend to be cloud solutions and/or improvements to our CRM.


  • Provide guidance and input on the department’s strategic direction and technology roadmap

  • Assist in establishing the operational foundation and technological framework for the team’s future

  • Help manage all phases of individual projects from project and vendor selection to execution and delivery, all while ensuring the needs of the business stakeholders are met

  • Development and oversight of User Acceptance Testing

  • Work closely with the Program Manager to manage project scope, budget, and deadlines

  • Employ analytical and problem solving skills to provide recommendations or solutions to overcome project obstacles

  • Manage contract and consulting resources and ensure compliance with the project budget and Statement of Work

  • Effectively communicate relevant project information to project team members, internal customers, and the management team. Communicate difficult and sensitive information tactfully

  • Engage with the 4S Training coordinator and management stakeholders on group training and change management needs

  • Evaluate project success through analyzing the impact to group key performance indicators

  • Consult the group on best practices based on previous work experience and/or knowledge about CRMs and other cloud vendors


  • Bachelor’s degree and between 5-10 years of project management or business analyst experience required, preferably in technical projects involving cloud applications

  • Demonstrated experience managing small to medium complexity IT projects

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with management , project team members, internal clients, and consultants

  • Experience with Salesforce (in a system administrator or a project manager capacity) is strongly preferred

  • Working knowledge of MS Office, MS Project, Visio, and Project Portfolio Management tools

  • Ability to work independently, handle multiple priorities, and solve complex problems

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong ability to persuade at all levels of the organization

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability

  • Knowledge of waterfall and agile methodologies and experience managing projects in both
