LOCATION: Arlington Virginia Opower office
As a Web Implementation
Engineer at Oracle Opower, you will join a team to design and build SaaS-based
energy efficiency and customer engagement web sites on behalf of our utility
partners. You will collaborate with a diverse group, including a Project Manager,
a Senior Implementation Engineer, as well as members of the Product
Engineering, Product Management, and QA. Setting up new programs for our
utility clients is the lifeblood of Opower, and we rely on an Implementation
Engineer's input and expertise for our overall success.
Our web specialist Implementation Engineers rely on a
diversified technical skill-set to build cutting edge responsive web sites. You
backed by Java APIs. We do not expect you to immediately be a master of the
full spectrum of technologies used; through on-the-job training and coaching
you will gain the necessary skills required to launch energy efficiency and
customer care web sites for new and existing utility clients.
Constructweb sites using Oracle Opower’s web technology platform and existing AngularJSbased widgets to meet the specific needs of each client
Collaboratewith Implementation Engineers and other client-aligned delivery team members toensure that web products are integrated with other Oracle Opower products aspart of full energy efficiency and customer care solutions
Buildand maintain a deep understanding of our products with the ability to explainthem to others; think about how client customization and delivery can be spedup and improved
Collaboratewith cross functional teams to drive product innovation and operationalize newOracle Opower products and features, keeping efficiency and scale in mind
Buildand enhance automation tools to improve speed to market and product quality
Communicatewith internal partners and clients in a thoughtful and impactful manner,ability to translate technical requirements to a less technical audience
Bachelor’sdegree in computer science or related field
2-4years of hands-on technical experience
Youenjoy sniffing out complex technical issues and solving them
Youhave experience in UNIX systems and are not afraid of the command line
Youdemonstrate some programming knowledge (the web systems are primarily Node.jsand AngularJS; most of our APIs and internal code are in Java and Ruby)
Youare a smart, talented engineer, looking for an exciting, fast-paced company toexpand and develop your skills.

An experienced consulting professional who has an understanding of solutions, industry best practices, multiple business processes or technology designs within a product/technology family. Operates independently to provide quality work products to an engagement. Performs varied and complex duties and tasks that need independent judgment, in order to implement Oracle products and technology to meet customer needs. Applies Oracle methodology, company procedures, and leading practices.

May act as the team lead on projects. Effectively consults with management of customer organizations. Participates in business development activities. Develops and configures detailed solutions for moderately complex projects.
5-7 years of experience relevant to this position including 2 years consulting experience preferred. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience. Product or technical expertise relevant to practice focus. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to build rapport with team members and clients. Ability to travel as needed.
