The Sr. Solution Engineer – North America Large Enterprise is responsible for providing pre-sales and post-sales business process analysis, product function expertise and engineering support for merchants who are implementing PayPal payment processing services and software. Focusing on merchants with annual revenues from $1 million to $100 million or more, the Sr. Solution Engineer directly supports assigned sales and relationship representatives in North America as required both in the office and in the field (up to 50% travel required) throughout the pre-sales and sales process. The Sr. Solution Engineer ensures the quality and timeliness of all assigned merchant implementation efforts and acts as “voice of customer” when providing feedback to Product Managers on ease of use and new function/feature needs.
Provide merchants considering the use of PayPal payment processing solutions with business process analysis, product functionality review, and technical requirement definition services as requested in support of the Strategic Sales Leads and/or Strategic Growth Manager pre-sales strategy. Work with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and create a proposed solution design.
Provide merchants who have committed to implement PayPal payment processing solutions with guidance on changing business processes, website workflow modifications, and reporting systems required to implement PayPal solutions into existing systems.
Facilitate merchant with creating sandbox accounts, provide technical development and coding support, and provide guidance to the merchant during testing and pre-launch activities.
Act as main point of contact for the merchant for all pre-sales related technical activities throughout the discovery phase and pre-integration effort. Track all merchant engagement activity using provided tools.
Assist Sales and Relationship Management teams to engage merchants in PayPal product implementations, and to move merchants toward Live-To-Site within targeted time frames.
Work with internal teams to ensure merchants implement PayPal’s payment processing solutions with a high degree of quality and using optimal integration strategies and techniques.
Collect merchant feedback on ease-of-use and function/feature suitability for merchants’ processing needs. Provide feedback to Product Management on product improvement and enhancement needs.
Utilize Salesforce for the tracking / movement of merchant sales opportunities to allow for Sr. Level reporting and stage notifications.
