Microsoft Corporation Services Solution Specialist - Dynamics and IOT in San Francisco, California
US Services Sales is one of the fastest growing divisions at Microsoft and has an exciting leadership opportunity for a Solution Specialist focusing on Dynamics and IOT solutions to lead sales pursuits of our key solution offerings for State and Local Government organizations. This position will be heavily focused on working with a team of Services Account Executives, MBS SSP and our Segment AE’s to pursue, develop and close Dynamics and OIT consulting services business. The position specifically requires the candidate to have experience pursuing large complex services projects within the SLG.
The three key components of this position include:
Large Deal Support - Enable SE’s to be more successful and land larger, more strategic deals by providing specialized, solution/industry-specific expertise and executive sales presence/relationship.
Capture Planning & Sales Execution - Grow pipeline and increase sales effectiveness with more highly qualified deals by utilizing focused Capture Planning and sales execution best practices.
Strategy & Demand Generation - Lead and partner with the MBS Team, STU, Service Line teams to drive focused campaigns for demand generation. Package and leverage regional and national IP.
Develop Own Opportunities – Close at least 20% of their NWS quota by generating and closing their own pursuits.
The Dynamics/IOT Service Solution Sales Professional (SSSP) has overall business responsibility and leadership for the growth of the Dynamics/IOT business within SLG. The SSSP has shared responsibility for current revenue performance as well as long-term success of the Dynamics/IOT Solutions within this segment. This person is recognized internally and externally as an expert and will meet key measurements around the goal of driving adoption and the sale of Dynamics/IOT services. The primary commitment for this role is driving sales of Dynamics/IOT services measured by New Work Sold revenue and delivered in SLG.
The Dynamics/IOT SSSP should have strong solution sales experience, strong analytical/problem solving skills, demonstrated success in driving complex strategies and projects, driving demand generation that translates into new work sold revenue, outstanding organization skills and organizational agility, strong communication skills (verbal and written), proven project management skills and be a motivated self-starter. Qualified candidates should have 15+ years of direct sales experience in technology, engineering and/or professional services, finance, business development and a successful track record of technical, sales management experience for Dynamics/IOT.
The position requires an individual who understands how to get things done in a large and complex organizational environment through influence and collaboration and has broad business background or diverse professional services experience including experience working geographically dispersed field teams. It also requires the ability to understand how to improve the way things get done through effective planning and process improvements.
-10+ years of direct sales experience
-5+ years solution sales experience in the Dynamics/IOT or related areas
• University or bachelors’ degree
Proven experience in the following key areas will be beneficial:
• Large Deal Capture Management experience
• Dynamics/IOT solution sales and deployment
• Solutions Architecture
• Needs Analysis and Envisioning
• In-depth knowledge of competitors
• Demonstrated project management skills
• Complex deal negotiation and contracting
