The Services Delivery Excellence Lead position creates impact by implementing WW Delivery Excellence strategy within a specific Services Domain portfolio. The role acts as primary interface between Delivery Excellence and Domain stakeholders and plays a critical role in implementing Delivery Methodology, Standards, Tools, review rhythms, best practices, improvement initiatives and related governance. The Lead closely collaborates and maintains ongoing relationship with Domain Delivery Managers, Project Managers, SAO team, SBD Leads, IGD, Sub contractors and Area aligned stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Implement Delivery Excellence strategy within Applications Domain portfolio

Contribute towards development of DE strategy for the Domain

Manage and track specific delivery improvement initiatives within Domain

Contribute towards analysis of delivery patterns, delivery insights and prioritization of improvement initiatives

Maintain healthy delivery practices within Applications Domain portfolio

Maintain accurate dashboard of engagements within Domain

Govern implementation of planned delivery and technical health review rhythms

Drive on time closure of delivery action items

Track CPE and delivery escalations to closure. Provide appropriate executive visibility

Trigger recovery based on set criteria. Track recovery progress

Drive adoption of Methodologies and Tools in Applications Domain portfolio

Drive landing of Methodologies and Tools changes within Dynamics Domain in collaboration with SAO and readiness teams

Drive implementation and tailoring of TFS, EPM, Build and Release management practices within Applications Domain

Drive capturing of important delivery metrics related to Schedule, Profitability, Quality, Risks and customer acceptance

Act as voice of Applications Domain in driving Methodology & Tools improvements

Collaborate with SBD, Domain Sub Cons, IGD, Account aligned DE team and Account aligned stakeholders in maintaining seamless delivery management practices across life cycle of One Services delivery portfolio People Leadership & Management

Actively participate in Applications Domain Delivery Management Community. Mentor Domain and Cross Domain project managers

Act as a role model for values, ethics, professional conduct and belief in the Microsoft culture

Drive the culture of learning, best practice sharing, First time right, quality mindset and customer obsession across delivery communities

Skills and Experience

Strategic thinking with the proven capability to contribute and execute a delivery strategy that resulted in quality delivery outcomes in the Business Solutions space.

7 plus years’ experience with delivery management experience with a history of managing complex ERP or CRM engagements and Services in diverse customer, contracting and Industry scenarios

Understanding of key technologies and trends in the Business Solutions Domain, and articulate their impact on delivery management needs to broader internal and external stakeholders to gain their support and drive necessary changes proactively

Outstanding interpersonal skills, providing leadership by example, and an inspiring vision for driving future in a matrix environment

Experience with diverse services business (Consulting, Premier and Offshore) functions is a definite plus

PMI credentials in PMP, CSM/ PgMP and knowledge of CMMi / ISO 9001 / TQM / Six Sigma processes is a plus

Responsible for Delivery Excellence initiatives and shared delivery outcomes for a portfolio of $75M+ revenue Key Selling Points of the Role or Group

  1. Exposure across large services portfolio. Opportunity to impact 50+ Consulting engagements and PFE Services annually

  2. Opportunity to influence 3-5 Delivery Managers, 30+ Project Managers on regular basis

  3. Opportunity to drive multiyear improvement and industry benchmarking initiatives in Domains

  4. Opportunity to directly interact with senior internal leaders including Domain VPs, SPLs, Chief Architects, SBD and COO LT
