As the largest curated marketplace exclusively focused on the home category, we’ve built a successful pipeline of professional vintage sellers throughout the country. Much of this growth has come organically, but we know that specializing our inside sales process will allow us to scale faster than ever before. This is where you come in.

Who you are: As Chairish’s first Inside Sales leader, you will ensure that Chairish is the first choice for sellers to list and sell quality furniture and home décor. To accomplish this, you will have a consistent track record of developing a top of funnel sales strategy and execution plan from scratch, as well as developing a prospecting and qualification system for thousands of leads across a broad variety of customer groups. Proven success in iterating and A/B testing will ensure that we continue to finesse our message as seller preferences evolve and the competitive landscape changes. And while this role requires an expert background in inside sales development, the ideal candidate will know when to apply best practices-—and when to adjust the approaches to suit the nuances of our business.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a small but efficient Inside Sales team with an eye towards growth • Develop and execute creative approaches to sourcing new sellers • Develop and implement a rating and prioritization system for all leads • Establish consistent standards and methodologies for researching, prospecting, and qualifying leads • Build a sales development pipeline monitoring system to ensure maximum sales throughput with minimal bottlenecks • Partner with Account Executives to ensure smooth hand-offs and alignment of strategic priorities • Establish team goals for monthly lead objectives; regularly report out on performance • Conduct A/B tests and track qualification performance; make recommendations for new methods as needed • Train, develop and motivate a team of inside sales associates • Work closely with Merchandising and Marketing to ensure consistency in messaging and brand positioning

Position Requirements & Experience:

• 7+ years of inside sales development • Validated ability to set objectives and meet goals, both at the individual and team level • Particular strength in structured thinking and a methodical approach to problem solving • Technically savvy with Macs and iPads • Persuasive and concise written and verbal communication • Interest or past experience in the design industry a plus
