Job Description

PayPal is seeking a top-notch marketing professional to join its dynamic and growing Mid-Market Marketing team.

The Mid-Market Segment was one of PayPal’s fastest growing business units in 2016; and we plan to continue that momentum throughout 2017. Our customers, medium-sized Merchants with substantial online & offline businesses, are focused on revenue growth and profit optimization. Our job on the Mid-Market Marketing team is to help them achieve those goals with PayPal.

As a Mid-Market Marketing Manager you will focus primarily on engaging and retaining our existing base of merchants and secondarily on acquiring new merchants. You will be responsible for developing and executing marketing programs to deliver meaningful value to both Mid-sized merchants and PayPal. This will leverage PayPal’s rich insights, include PayPal’s diverse product suite (e.g. PayPal Express checkout, PayPal Payments Pro, Braintree, PayPal Credit, PayPal Working Capital, etc.) and involve multiple channels (e.g. digital (SEO, Paid), email marketing, dialogue, direct mail, etc.).

Key Responsibilities:

Drive deeper customer engagement for PayPal Mid-Market customers by delivering the right message via the right channels at the right time. This includes x-sell, digital/email marketing, direct marketing and more.

  • Increase overall stickiness of PayPal by developing targeted and segmented x-sell programs, based on customer activity and lifecycle needs

  • Lead E2E planning and execution of marketing programs, including setup, monitoring, reporting, analysis, optimization, and strategic portfolio insights.

  • Partner with data and analytics teams to develop and evolve the marketing reporting dashboards and analyze individual campaign performances to derive actionable insights to improve performance, conversion rates, and lifetime customer value.

  • Provide regular performance updates to business owners (e.g. product teams) and serve as the Mid-Market expert in making recommendations, sharing best practices, and alerting to new trends and emerging opportunities.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in developing and executing marketing plans and / or engagement campaigns

  • At least 3 years of experience with B2B marketing and payments experience preferred; familiar with Mid-Market is a plus.

  • Strong drive for results; highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deliver in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a heavily matrixed, cross-functional environment.

  • Ability to build and leverage strong partnerships with cross-functional partners.

  • Ability to own and manage agency relationships.

  • Solid business acumen, which means you can think strategically and ‘big picture,’ but can balance that with a strong pragmatic execution.

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Fun, energetic and collaborative personality with self-starter approach to work..

  • MBA preferred or Bachelor degree in Marketing, communications, economics, or other business-related discipline.
