IBM Digital Strategist in SAN FRANCISCO, California

The Digital Strategist within a diamond team is responsible for planning a comprehensive digital marketing plan that supports the integrated marketing plan of the diamond (go to market) team. The Digital Strategist works closely with other diamond team roles, including the diamond team leader, the campaign leader, and the content marketer, as well as business unit (discipline) and HQ roles, to execute, measure, and refine the digital marketing plan. In addition to taking full responsibility for the diamond team’s digital plan, the Digital Strategist works closely with other members of the discipline outside the diamond team, sharing best practices, learning toolsets, and evaluating campaign performance. Responsibilities

  • Design the comprehensive digital marketing plan that supports the goals and strategy of the data science marketing plan, including media planning and programmatic strategies, and working closely with search strategists to build search plans

  • Collaborate with product marketers and campaign managers to understand buyer and customer journeys, continually optimizing for improved conversions and customer satisfaction

  • Closely collaborate with digital discipline teams at the business unit and headquarters level, executing digital plans efficiently and effectively

  • Understand latest digital trends and how to apply to diamond team needs; understand full suite of marketing tools required for implementing digital strategy

  • With discipline leader and diamond lead, define key performance indicators, routinely report on KPIs, develop relevant dashboards, and work closely with campaign manager on reporting

  • Manage relevant agency relationships to plan and execute media strategies and media buys, programmatic purchases, and other digital purchases

  • With diamond and discipline lead, monitor relevant customer advocacy metrics, ensuring a comprehensive digital advocacy program and engagement from diamond team members

  • Close coordination with content marketer and campaign strategist on content creation and use, content measurement, and content management

  • Manage the design and creation of all relevant web marketing pages and landing pads, working closely with the campaign lead, designers, editors, and content managers to ensure consistent, optimized web journeys

  • Manage and optimize web registrations, working closely with the campaign manager on registration strategies, optimized landing pages, logical response scoring, and functioning lead routing

  • Collaborate with web marketing team to ensure optimized, modern, comprehensive IBM web properties representing IBM data science products and services

DPT2

  • 7+ years experience in digital marketing

  • Bachelor degree

  • Digital experience with emphasis on media planning, online journeys, programmatic marketing

  • Expert understanding of digital marketing tactics

  • Preferred experience in multi stakeholder environment with programs spanning people, process, platforms and content

  • Understanding of B2B marketing

  • Ability to work in self-directed manner
