Our client, a San Francisco-based hedge fund with an excellent track record, seeks an Associate, Fund Operations to join their team. We have worked with this exceptional client for years with many success stories. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of investment operations or accounting experience in the investment industry; investment management experience preferred. The primary duty is to assist with supervising the company’s transfer agency and reporting functions, coordinating with distribution platforms and creating internal and external communications.

Responsibilities:

  • This role is responsible for reviewing the work of the company’s third-party administrator including, but not limited to, reviewing:

  • investor capital activity in coordination with consultant firms

  • cash, capital, and account balance reconciliations

  • accounts transfers between clients, custodians, and firms,

  • consultant reporting

  • investor statements

  • Prepare and distribute internal and external reporting including monthly fact cards, commentary, quarterly letters, management reports and various ad hoc reports

  • Maintain and utilize contact relationship management (“CRM”) database

  • Maintain company website and Intranet; an internal performance reporting system

  • Answer internal and external questions regarding fund operations

  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years investment operations or accounting experience

  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required

  • Strong attention to detail with ability to review work and solve problems

  • Self-starter who works independently to meet deadlines and complete projects

  • Energetic, enthusiastic and willing to work as part of a small team

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Experience with Backstop (CRM) a plus, but not required
