Duties: Help build smart data systems that ingest, model and analyze massive flow of data from online, social, mobile and offline commerce/user activity to set key business attributes for millions of products in real time. Use cutting edge machine learning, data mining and optimization algorithms underneath it all to analyze all this data on top of Hadoop/HBase/Hive. Build compelling data visualizations and interactive dashboards to showcase work internally and externally. Be the sole developer responsible for building and implementing web applications that derive insight and project value in multi-petabyte data sets. Have a direct impact on revenue at the core of the company by maximizing the effectiveness of our data. Help the team leverage and contribute to open source technologies wherever possible.Minimum Qualifications:Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Mathematics (Statistics), Industrial Engineering (Operations Research), Computer Science, or a related technical discipline and 5 years of software engineering experience; OR Master’s degree or equivalent in Mathematics (Statistics), Industrial Engineering (Operations Research), Computer Science, or a related technical discipline and 3 years of software engineering experience.
