POSITION TITLE AND SUMMARY: Regional Security Manager, Global PhysicalSecurity Operations – Headquarters and Northern California US

This position will be responsible for theleadership and development of teams, products and services within the GlobalPhysical Security Operations (GPS) operations line of business, withspecialized functional expertise in the area of regional operations, regionalexpertise, guard force oversight, crisis management programs, riskassessments, incident response and investigations, event security and more.The qualified candidate will report directly to Director, Global PhysicalSecurity Operations, North America. This position will be specificallyresponsible for the development of strategic programs and processesassociated with the regional operations business in North America, crossfunctional relationship with peers and stakeholders and support of allregional security requirements. The physical security operations team is theprimary interface with all clients, and ensures that client needs andexpectations are met with high quality, industry standard programs andservices.


Act as representative of GPS North America in support of core initiativesin the region

Manage partner/vendor relations within theregion.

Develop and implement business plans to ensurecontinued optimal performance and excellent customer service throughout theregion

Partner with Crisis Management to ensureeffective implementation of the regional crisis management programs

Partner with GPS functional leaders toeffectively drive implementation of all programs within the designatedregions.

Budget preparations, travel advice, conductinvestigations


Support the Security Director of North America as required. Provideback-up response to incidents as required.

Liaison with internal Oracle partners to achieve objectives, develop newprograms and leverage resources for program and service delivery

Liaison with external industry resources ( enforcement, military, emergency responders, industry peers &associations, etc.)


Must have a minimum of 8-10 years of industrial security experience,combined with a minimum of 5 years of management and leadershipexperience.

Strong understanding of industry specific legislations and compliancerequirements.

Extensive experience in either

law enforcement, military or other safety & security programs to support

knowledge and competencies described above. Proficient with all basic

Microsoft computer software programs and communications techniques. Ability

to communicate and articulate with a high level of proficiency in both the

written and verbal format.


The GPS Operations Regional Manager’s scope of responsibility will beregional in nature, with area and country deployed resources reportingdirectly to this position.

Decision impact is high and degree of directsupervision is minimal. This is a mid to senior level position with a highdegree of responsibility and strategic impact on the business function. This positionwill report directly to the Director Global Physical Security Operations, NorthAmerica, and function under limited supervision.


This position will develop strategy, lead teams and resources to successfulperformance. Conduct analysis of business needs and identify programs andservices required to meet those needs. The successful candidate will provideeducation and professional development guidance to teams, managers, clientsand other resources as required.


  • This position requiresmoderate travel throughout the region, corporate headquarters and otherlocations within the United States.Some international travel is also expected.

  • This position requirespositive partnership skills, effective communications, and positivehuman relations in business capabilities.

  • This position must beable to perform the full range of very strategic business planningobjectives, to very tactical process, procedure and business analyticscapabilities.


BS/BA Degree required.

Industry certifications are preferred, but notrequired.

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Provides security services on company premises.

Responsible for security in a specified facility or region. Conduct theft investigations. Provide security for sensitive exit interviews. Act as liaison between company and law enforcement agency. Implement corporate security policies and procedures. May be responsible for managing contract guard personnel.

Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization.
