LEAD, Global Community Engagement – BIOWARE
JOB DESCRIPTIONElectronic Arts is seeking a Global Community Engagement Lead to join the EA marketing team. Specifically, this role will lead social, influencer and in-game content for BioWare’s IPs. The ideal candidate has 5-7 years of experience in creating and driving strategic and creative digital/social communication plans.
Candidates should have a track record of formulating and driving strong visual and written campaigns across social and web. They should have a deep understanding of how to leverage third-party influencers to expand brand loyalty, engagement, and delivery of messages that support communications and live service marketing. They should be equally comfortable editing copy and providing art direction, as well as occasionally writing everything from sell sheets to tweets – as well as creating video and image assets themselves.
The candidate should have experience building out strategic and cohesive multi-channel plans spanning everything from major announcements to sustaining beats. It’s also important to be able to convey these plans in PowerPoint form. A passion for creativity and storytelling while possessing a strong sense of how social media is consumed and engaged with in 2017 is a must!
This person should have the ability to articulate the rationale behind their digital content strategy from both a user-centered focus and business perspective. Candidates should understand analytics and how to use information and data to better digital content production and the broader ecosystem of the games industry.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Create and manage the strategic multi-channel social, in-game and web content campaigns and schedules that drives player action across BioWare titles.
Take business goals, objectives and requirements from campaign and live service marketing teams and turn them into effective and highly social, in-game and web communications content plans
Understands how core functions of the company work with respect to how social content fits into the cross-functional campaign.
Lead a team in creative brainstorming, ideation and execution of micro-campaigns, beat activations, influencer content, etc.
Brief and manage Game Changers, Influencers and 3rd party content creators within the BioWare community to increase awareness of key franchise communications and marketing initiatives
Ability to create visually impressive PowerPoint presentations to convey thoughts and ideas.
Collaborate cross functionally with Brand, PR, Live Service Marketing and Development teams to efficiently create content that communicates key Initiatives that drive key engagement and revenue metrics through targeting and content optimization
Responsible for delivering team projects at quality on-time and on-budget.
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing/Communications or related discipline
Experience in digital multi-channel content planning and strategy from ideation to execution
Rich background in social media and experience leveraging and working with community/influencer creators.
Experience in content production with a focus on writing compelling copy and a keen eye for compelling visuals suited for social consumption
Exceptional writing and communication skills with a team-first attitude
Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, PowerPoint, and Premier
Requires team and project management, creative and sharp strategic thinking skills
Plays Video Games (Especially First Person Shooters)
Deep passion and interest in interactive entertainment and storytelling
Experience in games industry a huge plus
