Software Engineer in Test – Wavefront

To accelerate our delivery for the cloud, Wavefront at https://www.wavefront.com/ is leading metrics monitoring service for companies born in the cloud era.
Using public cloud framework like AWS, open source software, and creative minds, Wavefront has built a world of highly reliable, scalable and resilient cloud based analytics platform. It leapfrogs us into application management of next-generation modern applications. We will now be able to analyze data and offer customers end-to-end operations management for both virtual and multi-cloud infrastructures
In this role as Software Engineer in Test, you will help develop and implement automated tests to deliver a high quality and reliable product. The automated tests will cover end-to-end system testing of features, and performance testing on the backend. You will also be responsible for running stress/load tests both on-demand and as automated daily runs and implement drivers to send varying types of data points to the backend at varying rates.
Automated Tests: Design, develop and automate functional, performance and load/stress tests to find the issues.
Test Plans: Develop system test plans, review with the engineers and automate them.
Your Professional Profile:
Proven experience in test development and test automation
Experience in scripting (bash, Python)
Basic knowledge of algorithms and data structures
Experience in automating API tests
Extensive knowledge of Linux/Unix
Any of the following would be additionally beneficial:
Experience in TestNg, Selenium, LoadRunner, and QTP
Experience in load testing large and web scale infrastructure, distributed systems, and application performance
