VMware Senior Partner Marketing Manager in Palo Alto, California
The Senior Partner Marketing Manager (PMM) is responsible for developing, executing and measuring marketing plans and lead-generation programs with VMware partners. This includes all aspects of joint program participation, direct marketing and awareness campaigns, including but not limited to online and in person events, digital and social promotions and more. The PPM will be responsible for continuously delivering ROI by reporting metrics for all executed activities business plans. In addition, this person would be responsible for managing lead flow and providing marketing reviews on a regular basis. This person will work closely with the VMware channel sales teams, field marketing teams, and DellEMC counterparts to drive company initiatives. This position reports to the Director, US Partner Marketing.
As a Senior Partner Marketing Manager, you will:
Grow and expand the VMware brand through a variety of successful partner co-marketing initiatives including but not limited to: enablement, sales incentives, demand generation within budgetary guidelines and deadlines paying close attention to market and competitive trends.
Lead and influence development of marketing strategies and plans to ensure partner co-marketing investments align with APO sales goals.
Develop and execute rolling 6-month marketing and demand generation plans for all assigned distribution partners.
Share VMware brand guidelines and assets; stimulate partner understanding of VMware mission and brand; and ensure successful VMware brand integration into partner marketing efforts.
Establish broad, deep, and strong relationships within distribution partner accounts. Go deep and wide to ensure VMware is obtaining our unfair share of voice while constantly increasing relevancy within the account.
Advocate effectively for partners, and their needs, throughout the VMware organization.
Maintain positive and productive relationship with partners.
Manage partner marketing budget and expenses including forecast accuracy.
Promote campaign launch efforts to partners including collateral, communication strategy, training tools and related activities.
Track AD+ and bookings data and align plan tactics to broader sales goals.
Evaluate the marketing performance of partners and recommend improvements. Report progress against campaign goals and report on ROI.
Analyze sales reports and market feedback from internal and external sources to identify key issues, trends, opportunities and market share growth/decline for use in marketing and sales planning purposes.
History of building and maintaining relationships with distribution partners that drive meaningful growth.
Excellent problem-solving, project management and creative skills. This person should be very detail-oriented.
Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment.
BA / BS, MBA Preferred
Percentage of Travel: up to 15%
Experience: 7-10 years in high tech marketing
