Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. Define specifications for significant new projects and specify, design and develop software according to those specifications. You will perform professional software development tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.

Provide leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology. Recommends and justifies major changes to existing products/services/processes. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 8 more years of software engineering or related experience.

We are looking for a Cloud Security Architectto help us push the boundaries of what can be accomplished in both current andthe next generation of Oracle cloud services. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in applying security tobusiness problems, engaging with product development teams and other partnerorganizations to drive and integrate solutions, effectively communicatesecurity concepts with both technical and non-technical individuals, and buildthe most secure products. Youwill be a security evangelist helping to create a security mindset across avariety of technology stacks in our cloud environment.

Workwith teams comprised of Software Engineers, UI Design, Network andInfrastructure, Platform and the Product Owners to help lead the the creation,validation, and integration of comprehensive security solutions in to theirproducts.

Takea hands-on role in influencing and guiding day-to-day development activities byleading security focused architecture decisions, participating in designs,design review, code review and implementation details.

Engagewith key business stakeholders to understand requirements, perform businessanalysis, and architect / design security solutions to meet the needs.

Identifyand vet when new security solutions are required, driving design andintegration requirements, determining build/buy and steps to reach your goal.

Performred team testing against the products and tools from the teams you directlywork with and drive security best practices in to the code with proven examplesand data.

Identifyinganomalies and correlation event activities for security operations and theirassociated actions.

Supportand consult with partner teams (security operations and development, complianceand risk, corporate governance, product development, etc.) on deep technicalsecurity and risk considerations.

Maintaina rigorous connection to evolving solutions within Oracle, among industry cloudproviders, and within 3rd parties.

Demonstrateflexibility and resilience in response to changing or ambiguous situations.

Leadtime sensitive projects involving multiple cross-functional teams and largescale security considerations, delivering consistently positive results.

Evangelizecurrent and future big picture security capabilities and controls, developingand communicating presentations internally and externally.

Contributeto defining frameworks used by the organization to establish securityprinciples and practices, participate on deep technical security reviews andrisk mitigation.

Staycurrent on and contribute appropriately to industry threats, compromisetactics, security best practices and evangelism.


BSor MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area with 10 years of related experience.

Deeptechnical knowledge & extensive security architecture / design experience.

Deepknowledge across network / infrastructure / middleware / applications.

Knowledgeof technology methodologies microservices, service oriented architecture(SOA), software & hardware development practices, operational practices,web services design, database design and data management, etc.

Experiencewith Oracle s software / hardware / cloud products and services.

Priorexperience solving complex business problems with technology, including aspectsunique to securing the cloud (provider / consumer perspective).

Stronginterpersonal and consulting skills to establish and maintain internal andexternal partnerships globally, negotiating risk against other businessfactors.

Solidorganizational skills, attention to detail, and multitasking capabilities.

Outstandingproactive communication skills: written, verbal, presentations.

Other Qualifications

Experiencein risk assessment, risk management, and risk mitigation.

Knowledgeof industry security concepts / frameworks and regulatory standards such asISO-27001, NIST, PCI, HIPAA, etc. is preferred.

CISSP,GIAC or infrastructure / security architecture certifications are preferred.
